After losing my confidence to exercise after having my baby, Tom really gave me the boost I needed to get back into it. He is amazing at getting you to push yourself, supportive and encouraging. Tom makes the sessions varied, interesting and fun and explains the science behind what you are doing too. Not only all that but he is a thoroughly funny and nice guy, I would recommend him to anybody of all fitness levels.
I have been working with Pinnacle for about a year now and in that time I have seen such a significant improvement in my fitness, stamina and strength. My job is non stop and I was always struggling for energy throughout the day, but my sessions with Tom have completely changed that.
My main highlight has been squatting 40kg in my first session to now squatting 120kg for 3 reps! In gives me such a great feeling!

Both myself and my partner have been working with Pinnacle Training for 3 months so far. Both of us are ~50 years old and my parter lost his confidence (and fitness) following a life changing accident. Tom and the team have transformed our lives and given my partner back his confidence around fitness. Our body shapes have changed and we have both lost weight. We steered away from the aggressive, shouty and pushy personal trainers as it would not have helped either of us to achieve our goals. Instead we wanted someone to work with us both around our weaknesses. The transformation has been staggering. Tom has tailored my diet to coincide with my long working hours and shown me how at the end of a long working day I can still get a quick workout in instead of going home, vegging out in front of the TV, eating sugar and feeling like crap for the rest of the week.
In the four months I have been training with Pinnacle, I am fitter, stronger and leaner. My body fat has reduced by a third and I can lift weights I would never have attempted before.

I’d attempted to follow a personal training programme twice before starting with Tom and both times it had petered out after a few months. Tom is the first person that has somehow motivated me to continue with a programme for well over a year now. It’s hard to say exactly why this is but a friendly, flexible approach combined with enjoyable and varied sessions certainly helps (as does the occasional and entirely unexpectedmotivational gift!). Tom is personable and down to earth and tailors to the sessions to suit each client wherever possible whether that be through exercises,location or music. Perhaps most importantly I’ve seen my best results since training with Tom motivating me to continue the programme and reach my peak.
Just had my first meeting with Tom and I have to say it was an eye opener. I used personal trainers before when I have joined new gyms in the past, but I learned more in one introduction session with Tom than I did with previous trainers. Tom has a great philosophy with his coaching and that is training to be his clients to feeling healthy and feeling good over focusing on the aesthetics. I you want a coach whose aim is to give his clients the information and confidence to reach the goals and go on to live healthier and have more confidence in their own abilities, then Tom is the coach for you.
I started working with Pinnacle at the start of 2015 never doing any sort of fitness before in my life except the occasional run. I had massive back issues which I have suffered with for over 10 years and because of this I was unable to do the simplest task, for example lifting my knee in the air!
My trainer Tom started me at the bottom of every exercise to make sure I had a firm understanding of every movement! I won’t lie at the start things were painful but I felt everything was leading to a greater purpose.
After working with Tom for 6 months, 3 times a week I saw fantastic results. My back issues were all cleared up and was feeling stronger and fitter than ever.

Tom (head trainer) has been excellent to work with and I have seen some amazing changes to my overall health, fitness and body. From day one Tom explained exactly why we were doing each exercise, what the benefits of them were and what they were doing to my body.
Tom explained each move in a clear and concise manner offering practical demonstrations and advice when I couldn’t get the hang of a certain move, this came in very handy especially for the RDL’s!!!
Tom was also on hand to offer excellent dietary advice, making me keep a food diary, which we then sat down and examined to see where I could make improvements. Once again Tom demonstrated his excellent knowledge in explaining why I should cut back and increase certain foods. And the benefits these actions would have.
Tom has been a pleasure to work with, friendly chatty and always pushing me to gain better results but always fully aware of when I really had had too much. I was anxious about using a personal trainer but Tom quickly stopped any anxiety I had and made going to the gym a pleasure.
I have nothing but the highest of praises and recommendations for using Pinnacle Training and working with Tom. I started with little gym experience and recurring injury issues to now being able to manage myself better physically, but also mentally.

I really enjoyed working with Tom. He got to grips with what motivated me very quickly, lots of distraction so I didn’t notice I was exercising! I was worried about how I would spend an hour with a virtual stranger and whether it might be a bit awkward but Tom is very good at building rapport so that time flew by. Instead of being an hour I felt I could afford to spend away from my desk, I looked forward to spending an hour doing something just for me.
